Offering unparalleled views of San Diego Bay, this is the perfect place to get out and enjoy leisurely activities, whether visiting San Diego or simply enjoying a day off. The options are endless when it comes to the Coronado Ferry Landing and one of my favorite spots in Coronado. Whenever I have visitors from out of town, I take them over there (either over the bridge or by ferry) to enjoy the view, grab a bite to eat at one of the many Coronado restaurants, and do some souvenir shopping.

You can go boutique shopping and order a delicious ice cream, or simply take a leisurely cycle along a picturesque route. Those after a bit of an adventure, hit the water by jet ski or kayak. No matter, you’re sure to have a great time!

Take The Ferry to San Diego

Whether you’re visiting the Ferry Landing from San Diego, or based in Coronado and hoping to explore downtown, the Coronado Ferry is by far the best way to navigate between these destinations.

The ferry leaves Coronado on the half hour every hour for just $7. With operations from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm during the week, and slightly later on weekends.

Visitors can travel across the bay to Broadway Pier or Fifth Avenue, right by the convention center. From here it’s just a short walk to the Gaslamp Quarter.
